I'm Avinash Verma, and I built Names Generator Hub because naming something important is harder than it first appears. The site brings my focused tools for baby, pet, character, business and profile names together in one straightforward place.
Why I built it
A name is often the first detail people learn about a child, company or character. My aim is to make it easier to compare relevant options and, for human names, show useful context without pretending that every name has one simple or universally agreed meaning.
What the site offers
The site currently provides 51 free name generators across several categories:
- Baby & human names — by gender, culture, style and meaning.
- Pet names — for dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits and more.
- Fantasy & character names — elves, dragons, warriors and original characters.
- Business & brand names — companies, startups, brands and shops.
- Social & gaming names — channel names, usernames, gamer tags and clan names.
- Everyday tools — nicknames, couple names, surnames, middle names and random names.
How the generators work
Each tool uses maintained name records or coded combinations of prefixes, suffixes, syllables and word lists, then applies the filters you select. The work happens in your browser, so generated and saved names are not sent to an external AI service.
For baby and human names, I show a meaning only after its record has a confidence label and a name-level source. Unreviewed meaning strings stay hidden, while possible, disputed and unknown etymologies are labelled instead of being blended into a confident definition. Fantasy, gaming and brand results are creative prompts, not etymology or guarantees that a name is available to use.
What I commit to
- Accuracy: uncertain meanings are omitted or qualified instead of presented as fact.
- Privacy: names you save stay in your own browser. The site does not require accounts or collect personal data to use the tools. See the Privacy Policy.
- Content screening: I screen source lists and coded patterns for adult, gambling, graphic, hateful or otherwise unsafe terms, while asking visitors to review any result before use.
- Free access: all tools are free, with no sign-up and no limits.
Who runs this site
Names Generator Hub is owned, built and edited by Avinash Verma, an independent software developer based in India. I designed the generation engine, maintain the datasets, and write and maintain the public pages. The person answering email at contact@namesgeneratorhub.com is the person responsible for the site.
Editorial standards
I write and maintain the guides, and I update a page when I have materially checked it. For human names, a blank field is better than an unsupported meaning. For more detail on the process, see the Editorial Policy.
